She's a lil' firecraker!

Madley loved the 4th of July! The Mason family had a rather large family reunion, but anytime we get to together there is a ton of people. We were lucky enough to have family from Texas and New Jersey show up! My Nanny said Madley was the bell of the ball! She worked the crowd and before I knew it she was all the way across the yard from me. We are lucky to have such a friendly little girl.

Later that day we went to Jason's family cookout. Where once again she was a charmer, but she saved most of her flirty for Corey! She was loving him. Sunday we went to the Brandenburger family cookout. Where we swim and shoot fireworks. This child loves to swim as much as her Momma. So I see a pool in our future. She splashed around for about an hour. I have to watch her in her floaty because she wants to drink the pool water. After all the splashing she could keep her eyes open for we started the show. Now we have a ongoing battle with the neighbors, that we all enjoy a little to much. "The Battle of The Ridge" gets us all worked up. Madley LOVED the fireworks and watched in awe. Then of course she fell asleep! I guess it was to much excitement for her!

7 months

Madley is now 7 months and 1 week old. Time is flying by. She has turned into a real chunky monkey! I love all her little fat rolls. She began pulling up on things about 2 weeks ago, and was very pleased with herself. Now Madley is trying to master the art of bending down and picking something up while standing. From time to time she wipes out and that doesn't seem to phase her. It's hard to believe that out of all her neat toys she wants to play with a bowl. Yes I know all babies prefer bowls and boxes to toys, but I still don't understand. As far as her eating habits all veggies are good and fruit is bad. The only fruit that she likes has blueberries in it. She hates bananas and shuts her mouth and refuses to eat them. I feel the same way about them.

Madley is totally amazed with her Daddy when he plays his guitar. She will stop dead in her tracks to hear him. She likes to think that she is playing too, so she pulls up on the guitar and "plays". All she really does is slobber and mute the strings. It is so cute!! We think she is gonna be a drummer, she bangs on everything! We are pretty sure she has a future as a door greeter someday. She waves at everyone, and says "hey". When we went to register for Lindsey's baby shower she greeted everyone in Target and waved and yelled hey at Lindsey while she tried to talk on her phone.

Hopefully we will get to be in our new house by New Years at the latest!!!! Keep your fingers crossed!

This is my first blog post so I'll give the run down on our lives up to now. Jason and I had an amazing little girl named Madley Jo on November 16 2009. She was born at 5:23 am weighing in at 6lbs and 13oz and 20.5 inches long. The day she was born was a busy day, we had over 40 visitors in a matter of two days! We are very blessed to have so many caring friends and family members! She has changed our lives so much, but it's been changed for the better. The first week at home was an emotional rollercoaster! Geez hormones are of the devil! lol Breastfeeding was a little difficult at first, but after a week or two we got things lined out. I was so thankful to have my cousin Sara and my friend Crystal to give me a few pointers!

Madley began daycare at 8 weeks old, I had to go back to work at 5 weeks. Thankfully it was the week of Christmas so I only had to work 2 days that week. The following week Jason and my Mom took turns keeping her. I was so proud of Jason he was so brave. He was a little nerveous that she might poop and he'd have to change it. Bless his heart he would change them but gag the whole time. He still isn't fond of poopy diapers, and sometime still gags. Madley then started to go to the babysitters, who we love!!!!

Now I'll just skip ahead to now. Madley started crawling between 23 and 24 weeks. She is 27 weeks now. She crawls all over the place and we have to have baby gates up, and are constantly having to tell her NO! NO! Madley has turned the dvd player on, guess she wanted to watch her Baby Einstien. She's become a big fan of food. I put her in her high chair then go to the cabinet to get her baby food. As soon as she sees her food she starts squealing and slapping her tray! We have tried the sippy cup, and she wasn't to sure about it. So we'll keep trying.
